Kathryn Simmonds is a British writer of fiction and poetry. Her first poetry collection ‘Sunday at the Skin Launderette’ (2008) won the UK’s Forward Prize for Best First Collection, was shortlisted for the Costa Poetry Prize and longlisted for the Guardian First Book Award. Her short stories have been published in magazines and broadcast on BBC Radio.
Her first novel ‘Love and Fallout’ is set at the anti-nuclear peace camp of Greenham Common in the early 1980s. She is a graduate of the Creative Writing at The University of East Anglia. Her third collection of poems is, Scenes from Life on Earth (2022). She lives in Norwich with her family.
