THE RETURN is one of an acclaimed series of new short novels or mini-novels by Warwick Collins.

First met in NAMES, Dellesandro Jones is a former leader of a drugs gang who has retired from his former life in Compton, Los Angeles, and now leads a peaceful life in Miami with his fashion designer wife Mona. One summer day a white van appears in his driveway outside the electric gates. The young black man who is driving says he has been sent to read the water meter. Dellesandro opens the gates, and then watches in mounting horror as he recognises the young man as the spitting image of Illuminatus, the leading enforcer of a neighbouring drugs gang whom he killed twenty-five years before. It seems Illuminatus’s son Eugene has driven across America to take his revenge for his father’s death. Dellesandro has only a few seconds to find his Ruger magnum and defend his life.

Warwick Collins has an international literary reputation. THE RATIONALIST was described by Le Monde as ‘a perfect novel’. His novel GENTS was reviewed in the Times list of all-time literary classics.

Collins has now completed 21 sparkling new fictions for Mini-novels, specifically for e-book publication. Each is about 50 pages long and capable of being read in under an hour.
