The Christmas Angel of the North is a mini book to enjoy during the festivities. This easy-to-read comedy is full of warm-hearted characters and festive fun that you’d expect from Kimberley Adams, author of the Lindisfarne books – not to mention more than a few Christmas crackers to make you smile!

Storyline…

Despite a big age gap, Donna Dobbs and her Nana Mary are best friends. Along with Donna’s other bestie, Shania Twine, the three apply for jobs in Renwick’s famous Christmas Grotto. Nana has designs on becoming the prestigious Christmas Angel of the North, a job neither Donna nor Shania wants, as it requires wearing a meringue-like frock!

Renwick’s are seeking staff who can entertain, so part of the interview process involves a Britain’s Got Talent style audition. Nana is delighted by the prospect of impressing the judges, which is more than can be said for Donna and Shania!

When Donna meets executive Nathaniel Renwick on interview day, she is immediately smitten by Newcastle’s very own Mr Grey Street, but considering he believes her to be an octogenarian, things don’t get off to a great start. Then when Pandora and Persephone, Renwick’s answer to the Ugly Sisters, come on the scene, they get a whole lot worse!

Escape to Renwick’s Grotto with Donna, Nana and a host of other colourful characters, and treat yourself to a Christmas minibreak with all the festive feels!
