
Nathaniel has fallen in love with Karen, the stepmother who’s the same age as him. When her life is in danger, he turns to the twins for help, and together they come up with a plan to make it look like Henry’s been murdered in a gangland war.
But then things go wrong. Another leader’s child is missing, and the person who made that happen must be held accountable.
Detective Sergeant Colin Broadly does his best to shove a couple of deaths under the carpet for the twins, all while working with a young PC who’s sharp and misses nothing. The case has to be buried, and the dead end he needs to take it to can’t happen fast enough.
