Anne grew up on a farm in England. As a teenager, her dream was to train young horses and become a showjumper. At the age of 17, she became a riding instructor (BHSAI) and worked with horses for a year. This fuelled a love of teaching and working with children. She qualified as a primary teacher in 1998. She taught for seven years before having her own family.
Her interest in writing began in 2012 when her middle son became ill. As he recovered, Anne helped him transform a story idea that he had, into a book. This ignited her passion for writing stories for children. She started writing picture books and went on to study creative writing with Barbara Large MBE. She has written 27 picture book stories, a range of poetry and adult short stories. Her debut publication is ‘Secrets of the Snow Globe – Vanishing Voices’, the first in a series of three adventure stories for 7-9 year olds.
She enjoys sharing her love of reading and writing with children, giving workshops in schools and libraries. She is always on the look-out for story ideas and loves inventing new plots!
