Sue is a Derry based writer with Armagh roots. Her short stories, flash fiction and poetry, have been published in The Caterpillar, ‘Her Other Language’ anthology, The Honest Ulsterman, The Bangor Literary Journal, Splonk, North West Words and The Bramley.
Her début novel, Guard Your Heart, was shortlisted for the 2019 Caledonia Novel Award, was a Joint Winner of the Irish Novel Fair 2019 and will be published by Macmillan in 2021. With a Masters in Peace and Conflict studies and a ‘day job’ in Community Relations for over fifteen years, Sue’s writing often touches on diversity and reconciliation in today’s Northern Ireland.
