Death Games (Detective Spicer series, Book 8)
by Chris Simms
A faceless killer. A deadly plot. A threat to Spicer’s life.
Manchester: an injured survivor from a motorway pile-up flees the scene on foot, leaving evidence in his car that a deadly terror attack is about to take place.
Maverick cop, Jon Spicer, has been trained as a Specialist Firearms Officer and is now part of Manchester police’s Counter Terrorism Unit. Thrown out of his previous department and demoted to the rank of Constable, he is being kept in the force only because he’ll take on the most dangerous of jobs.
Iona Khan is struggling to find respect and recognition in the male-dominated Counter Terrorism Unit. Her mind might be sharp, but many of her colleagues value physical strength above anything else.
As the investigation quickly snowballs, Spicer and Khan are thrown together. In this gripping crime thriller, the two detectives must learn to trust each other – and quickly. Otherwise, their next move could be their last.
Chris Simms: nominated for the Theakston’s Crime Novel of the Year and CWA Daggers!
