Peter Guttridge is the author of 8 novels (and counting) in his Brighton Crime Series, most recently Butcher’s Wood; six novels in his comic crime series featuring hapless journalist, Nick Madrid; two standalone thrillers, The Labyrinth of Porsena and The Boogaloo Twist; a collection of ‘criminal and quirky’ (several award-winning) short stories, The Stuff That Dreams Are Made On/Of; a non-fiction account of The Great Train Robbery; and three novellas: The Girl in the Obsidian Mirror (a tale of supernatural Paris); The Belgian and The Beekeeper, The Lord of Terror – these two featuring Sherlock Holmes and Jules Poiret in London and Sussex during the Great War.
The third and final Holmes and Poiret novella, The Assassination of Lloyd George, will be published in time for summer 2024. Also nearing completion is a crime thriller set among smugglers and excise officers in Susses and Kent between 1720 and 1760. The second smugglers book will be set during the Napoleonic Wars.
